At Canby Christian Church, we strongly believe that the goal of youth ministry is to prepare students for a life of service and relationship with God beyond high school.  The teenage years can be some of the most challenging, confusing, and critical years of a person’s life.  With this in mind, strategically helping teens and their families create a God based foundation for life is built into the fabric of how we do Student Ministry.

At Canby Christian Church, our Student Ministry goals are:

  1. To see teens who were once lost come to know and believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

  2. To see future Christian leaders and pastors being developed through discipleship.

  3. To unite with other age groups in our church to live become the active body of Christ.

  4. To become Jesus to our community by serving, loving, and being outward focused.

Below you will find a list of the ministry opportunities provided to our students in order to facilitate ministry and do our best to live out our goals for Student Ministry.

Middle School Bible Class

Sundays, during the 11am service
Sunday morning bible class is designed to teach Middle School students about the word of God.  The goal of this class time is that teens will gain knowledge and wisdom for living the Christian life, and learn to study the bible on their own even after their school days are over.  Middle Schoolers are encouraged to attend service until the greeting time, in which they are dismissed to attend their class for the remainder of the service.
